Instructions For Launching Your E-Learning Training Course System

This web page is to assist you in setting up your e-learning system and the first training course -- Red Flags.  Below are the steps for you to begin setting up the training courses for your Borrow Smart Compliance program for one location.  Other locations will be added later as noted below.  These instructions are only for the compliance officer or the representative from each company who has previously received login information to the e-learning platform.  That information was sent to you around April 19th and it instructed you to log into the training system to set up your identification in the e-learning web platform..  If your company does not have this information please click here and drop us an email and we will resend it again.

Please note that these are temporary instructions.  As you know, we are working on an additional web site that will be used to access this learning system in the future.  When completed, this will allow you to upload your own policy content for your learners.  It will be a few weeks before that system is complete.  When it is finished we will update these instructions.

Here are the topics covered on this web page. You can click on each topic and use the back button on your browser to return back again.  Please review all of this information very carefully before you begin the setup process.

WHAT TO DO TO GET STARTED

  1. Go to www.GenesisTraining.net and login to the learning platform.

  2. Click on "Teams" at the top of the menu bar. Then click on your company's team name in the box.

  3. In the upper right portion of the next screen click on "Assign New Person To This Team."  In the next box, simply complete the person's first and last name and enter their email address in the user name box.  Be sure that the "send an email" box is checked.  That is all of the information you will need to complete in order to enroll them in the e-learning system.  Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Add Person."  That person will receive an automatic email with instructions to login and they will be notified to complete the course when they log in.

  4. After you have created all of your learners in the step above you will then need to assign the courses.  The the training course is Red Flags - V1. To do this click on "Teams" at the top of the menu bar.  In the Teams box, click on "Courses."  Then, in the upper right corner click on "Assign Courses for [your team]."  Then simply check the course Red Flags - V1.  That's it -- the course is now assigned.

  5. To take the course yourself and/or to see what your learners see, click the orange box in the upper right corner "Switch To Learners View."  This will allow your to take the course.

What's next?  Check back on the e-learning platform frequently to see if the learners have logged in and completed the course.  Also, we will plan several webinars over the next few days to review this information with you.  You will be notified later by email regarding the webinars.

IMPLEMENT YOUR POLICY WITH HOW TO GUIDES

When the launch of the e-learning system into all of your branches is complete you will then be well on your way to finishing the implementation program for CFPB compliance at your company.  That is, you will have your completed policy manual prepared by Ballard Spahr, you will have the Borrow Smart Compliance e-learning system for training and tracking and you will have the How To Guides available to answer your operation questions.  The How To guides are an integral part of the Borrow Smart Compliance program.  Each How To guide addresses a specific section (topic area) of the policy manual.  It includes instructions and detailed information on operational considerations for implementing your CFPB policy.  These documents have been prepared by our fellow Borrow Smart Compliance members who have many years of experience.  Most important, the How To guides contain answers to questions that many of you may have relating  to implementation of each topic area.  These documents will provide you with a wealth of information for implementing your CFPB policy.

We have updated and placed the Red Flags How To guide on your private network.  Be sure and check it out.  We will update this section of the web page in the next day or so with more important information regarding the How To guides.

FINALLY

Please understand that these instructions are designed to help you configure and set up your e-learning system and launch your first course only.  We're sure this all seems simple to you, but it is actually a fairly complex system.  We expect there will be issues.  After we have completed working through any issues, you can then expand this program to your other locations as we begin to add more training courses.  The additional courses may take a couple of months to fully complete.  We will, however, add each course to the e-learning system as they become available.  Also, as noted above, we will have another component of the e-learning system ready for you soon that will allow you to upload your own policy material.  That component should be ready for you in a few weeks.

As mentioned, we fully expect there will be issues to correct.  If you encounter an issue please click here and drop us an email and we will get back with you to resolve that issue.  Also, as mentioned above we will hold webinars to help you work through questions and issues.

Thanks and enjoy!
