OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Borrow Smart exists to stand up for the rights of our customers and for our industry.  We do this by communicating the truth about both to the public.  And to that end, below are several initiatives we have launched and or coordinated with the media during the last ninety days to further our cause in the public arena.

By the way, we know you are inundated with horror stories of terrible situations in other states and sometimes in our own state.  But, the difference between what you receive from others and from Borrow Smart is that we take action!  We bring these stories to your attention, but unlike other sources we actually do something about the stories and issues to better our lot in life and to communicate what we all know is the "real truth" about our industry and our customers and how they use our services wisely.  That is our job.

As you well know, our industry and our customers have been relentlessly attacked by those who seek our demise.  If we do not stand up for our industry and our customers, who will?  As you can see from the results below, it is possible to communicate the truth about our services in a fair and balanced way as we clearly show below.  And since we know that negative stories have very negative consequences for us and our customers, quite literally, our future depends on communicating this truth to the public!

WKRG Story Explains Payday Alternative and Promotes Borrow Smart

 

This story aired in late November.  The reporter first contacted Borrow Smart after locating us on the internet (www.BorrowSmartAlabama.com) in late October.  She expressed an interest in making a special report on the industry.  After the initial contact Borrow Smart worked closely with the reporter in arranging a local interview with a Borrow Smart member.  Click on the player above to see the news piece and be sure you view the end of the video to see the credits for Borrow Smart.

• ALABAMA ARISE AND CRL ATTACK THE INDUSTRY IN ALABAMA

Articles Slamming The Industry Appeared In States Largest Newspapers -- We Respond!

 

Alabama Arise and the CRL launched this multi-newspaper attack throughout the state against the industry In late October and November.  Borrow Smart responded quickly and worked hard to get all of the newspapers to print our reply.  Go here to read the full report about this attack and our reply.

 

• BORROW SMART HOSTS ALABAMA DEMOCRATIC BLACK CAUCUS EVENT

We Continue Our Relationship With This Great Organization.

 

Working with various communities in our state is one of our major initiatives at Borrow Smart.  By co-sponsoring the Democratic Black Caucus annual meeting we are able to effectively communicate what we do in a positive way to a large part of the black community and to jointly develop programs that help them and their constituents.  This has been a very good relationship with some great individuals (and friends).  Click on the picture for a full report.

 

• BORROW SMART TAKES A PROACTIVE RESPONSE TO HELP A REPORTER WITH GREAT RESULTS

We Worked To Dispel Incorrect Ideas About Our Industry.

 

By taking a proactive response to a simple reporter request we were able to correct misinformation the reporter had about our industry.  The result was a positive story that was picked up in news outlets all around the country.  Click here for a full report.

 

This is just the last ninety days!  And, there is more to come.  These stories and initiatives and the resulting positive coverage for our industry do not happen spontaneously in a vacuum.  In each and every one of these situations Borrow Smart was actively involved and engaged in either proactively creating the media story or responding to false stories that had no basis in fact.  In other words, we were actively working to further the cause of our industry in the public as we promised we would.  This is hard work, but it is one of the primary functions of Borrow Smart.  As you can see here, it is working and we are doing what we promised!
